Everton vs. Leicester

The Foxes from Leicester will arrive at Goodison Park, Liverpool, on January 27, to take on the local Toffees. Leicester need to catch up with the leaders, while Everton have to make up for the ridiculous mistakes they made in the middle of the season’s first half. Who will get the points on Wednesday?

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have finally recovered from their unfortunate period, which included the rounds from 6 to 11 in the Premier League. The rough patch started with a loss to Southampton (2-0), that was followed by a 2-1 away loss to Newcastle United and a 1-3 home defeat from Manchester United. These results doubtlessly upset both fans and players.

Nevertheless, having recovered, now Everton occupy the 6th place in the Premier League standings with 2 extra games in store. In case the Toffees win these two games, there is a chance for them to move Leicester and take the 3rd spot.

Only 2 points separate Leicester from the 1st place of the English Premier League. Two teams from Manchester lead the table at present. It’s interesting that both Manchester United and Manchester City had a very unimpressive start to the season, which eventually caused talks about replacement of clubs’ managers. However, due to their recent successes and achievements, the Red Devils are now on the top, closely followed by the 2nd-placed Citizens.

Leicester City have always been rather stable in the first half of the season. In the last 6 matches Brendan Rodgers’ squad collected 16 points and took the 3rd place in the standings, having moved the former leaders, Liverpool, to the 4th spot. Among Foxes’ most notable achievements there are victories over Southampton (2-0), Chelsea (2-0), and Tottenham (0-2). It’s obvious that Leicester are pursuing their goal and not going to slow down.

The match promises to be exciting, given the tiny difference between the odds. Thus, bookies consider Everton to be the underdogs, offering the odds of 2.76 on their victory. Meanwhile, the odds on Leicester’s triumph – 2.64.

When the opponents are equal in strength, there is a chance of ending the game in a draw. You can bet on it for the odds of 3.36.

As usual, we wish good luck to the competitors and financial well-being – to our readers.
